Poem 2 of 95

English Translation

In The Hot Wind

1

In The Morning

There the hot wind blows

The fresh, fresh leaves,

How a young mother sings

To her first, first child.

There the hot wind rustles

To the fresh, fresh leaves,

As a young mother sings

Lull, lull-la, lull-la, by, child.

2

By Day

They are swaying in a hot dance,

In the arms of the hot wind,

In the sunlight’s gleam,

With green-feathered branches,

They twirl in a of ,

Twisted with the hot wind,

Dressed in sunshine,

Now they are split,

Now they're again twisted with the wind,

Like hot blood in the veins of branches,

Each leaf dances in the karahod of sin,

No one wants to rest, to be silent

And dances and sings a song of sin.

3

Evening

The dance of sin is finished,

The hot wind has fallen asleep,

The trees are tired and parched,

They stretch, stretch thoughtfully

Towards the pure sky up high

Like your green smoke.
